Join Sarah Gish on the second Saturday of each month for a special, meditative event. Sarah will introduce the Hines Center and its interesting history after which she’ll give a tour of the building. Then the labyrinth walk will begin with an introduction to the history of labyrinths and suggested ways to incorporate them into your life. There will then be an inspirational reading and a group walk. For the second hour of the event, Sarah will lead a reflective art project. Both the walk and the art can be done alone. She will also provide attendees with a helpful list of other Houston area labyrinths.
Sarah Gish is an info-preneur, artist, and igniter who has been enjoying labyrinth walks since the 1990s. She became a Veriditas-trained labyrinth facilitator in 2016. Sarah owns Gish Creative and is the publisher of two digital products – Gish Picks: Curated Culture for Kids and Adults and The Summer Book® Online: a Guide to Houston Day Camps and Classes for Kids and Teens. She has many art projects but the one she’s most passionate about is IGNITE YOUR LIFE! which she created because her brother died of alcoholism. It’s her goal to ignite people’s lives as a firewall to addiction, anxiety, depression, and isolation. Labyrinths are an important part of her ignition practices.
